| Note |
For 12 dancers (no victim), a plotless, stripped-down interpretation of the score, 'about the music's structure,' in black, grey and white, danced on a geometric floor painting by Shen Wei. Solo dancers emerged in Part II. The movement style, incorporating floor work, was influenced by Chinese opera techniques. The score was performed by Fazil Say, alongside his recording of the other 2-hand part on a Yamaha Disklavier. Part I premiered 2002. |
